screaming bicep curls are the solution. :brohug:
Body part split. 3 upper body part days, 1 lower body part day. I.e. push (Chest/Triceps), pull (upper/middle back/biceps), shoulders, legs. Maybe a second leg day if your shits are twiggy. But that squatting/deading every day shit... nah. You can get aesthetic on a powerlifting routine, but you can also get from New York to Paris by flying west. Doesn't mean it makes sense.
I think there is an online sentiment that powerlifting is more honorable than bodybuilding, but most people lift to look like bodybuilders (or at least prioritize aesthetics over strength). Being honest about what you want to accomplish is probably the biggest hurdle.
Today's my first complete week on IF. I like it. Workout today was pretty easy, though I need some somewhat healthy but calorie dense carbs to pump up my fast breaking meal. Any ideas?
Also anyone know which head underhand tricep pull downs work? Those shits are hard as fuck
for sure, gonna get my grunt on
What do you consider "eating my face off"?
Give us daily calories, and macros. Not just your protein intake.
But short answer? Want to gain weight? Eat more.
1lb a week is what I've been gaining.
Really sorry to hear this.
brown rice, oats, sweet potatoes, good stuff like that. when i feel like something sweet, a mildly sweetened rice pudding with dried fruit and/or vanilla and cinnamon hits the spot.
tbh i don't really count cal/macros...but a rough estimate is probably 3000+ per day. macro probably 50/30/20 p/f/c.
eating my face off = 1 whole chicken, 6 eggs,1/4 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of steamed spinach, 100g of cottage cheese post workout.
Aidan.... I'm forever indebted... I just remembered how great rice pudding is. Thats definitely gonna be a go to. Sweet potato fries are also always a treat. Good stuff man thanks
Flame u need to replace 90% of that with pizza
feel better aryan bro. that sucks.
7 minutes of burpees would kick your ass.
If you don't count calories, then the best I can give you is.. eat more food.
Btw, how do you figure 3000+ calories per day with a macro of 50/20/30 (P/C/F) if you get 1.2g protein per pound of bw?
Let's do the math together..
You say you're 71-72kg. Let's take the upper end of that and add a couple pounds.
1.2g x 160lb = 192g protein.
192g x 4 calories = 768 calories.
768 calories = 50% protein in total macros.
You are taking in barely 1500 calories.
I really really really think you think you are eating more calories than you actually are.
Eat 300g protein, 225g carbs, 100g fats for a few weeks and let me know how it goes.
That's 3000 calories with a 40/30/30 breakdown on the nose.
THEN come back and ask for advice.
