Solid results from melatonin, got tired very quickly and had very good sleep, but only 6 hours. Will see of modafinil can keep me awake all day now, using a pretty high dose of it.

That's what happens when you first start using it. You should ease into the dose, it will take you 2-3 days to adjust and start sleeping more than 6 hours again. How many mg are you taking?

Anyone else get a sore lower back the day after benching?
It's not painful, just a sore and numb feeling when I arch and flex the lower back.

I arch as much as I can when I bench to reduce the travel distance of the bar down to my lower chest / upper abs area. I try to stay as tight as possible and keep abs flexed through the whole movement.

No but then again I only use dumbbells. I feel like its better to get a full ROM than just move as much weight as possible.

Yep. If you are arching and activating your glutes then your back will be sore after benching.

My DYEL friend started going to the gym, he got a 1 year membership today. I gave him JasonDB's beginner's 5x5, made up a nutrition plan for him, and walked him through the exercises at the gym for the first time. I got him squatting perfectly, and everything else after that came just as easily. So happy that he did so well and he's going to make some awesome gainz. :slayer: Dude is 144 lbs at 5'8" so he should be able to fill out for a long time.

For those that squat >2 a week, ok to heavy first day, moderate front squat the next, and do speedwork (80%) on the last?

I tried heavy squatting x3 a week, and felt like shit on week 4.

How's melatonin different than other sleep pills? I have done zero Google searches about this.

Been out of the gym for some time. Got lazy/busy with some IBD comp crap. When school starts might switch over to uni gym, idk if I can as a part time student we'll see.
