You going past parallel? Improper ROM places more stress on the knees as glutes and hammies don't get much activation. Also, are your knees going way past your feet, that could also be a contributor (check out vids posted earlier in this threak abt that).

Did 1x8 of 135 warmup and then 4x6 of 225 DL today. Grip is better now even without chalk. I was surprised that getting 225 up wasn't as hard as I expected...it was more mental than anything. Goal is to be able to 5x5 twice my current body weight in a year while keeping bench and squat in proportion, but that might be a tall order. I was doing it in socks until they told me to put my shoes on for the last set [IMG]. Had a couple of slices of pizza and two beers afterwards. Now for some chicken tikka massala and contemplating how I plan to sin tomorrow.

I usually do a day each week where I let loose, but that means I generally keep things really clean the remainder of the week. As in, a cheat meal for me would be a naked burrito with no rice and double meat at Qdoba.

How is that a cheat meal? It's basically meat and vegetables.

It's really the only meal I have outside of my weekly cheat "day" that I don't prepare myself. It's not a cheat in the traditional sense, but I guess that gives you an idea of how clean I keep things the remainder of the week. Though to be fair, I go there at least once a week and sometimes twice. They've got a weekly special for a chicken burrito + drink for $4. It helps that they occasionally forget to charge me for extra meat.

Can you guys critique my form? I think I'm going low enough, but might be leaning too far with my knees. I haven't been doing squats that long, only five or ten pounds over bodyweight right now.

I'm far from an expert, but knees look pretty good, since they aren't extending past your toes.

Looks pretty good. I can't quite make it out but looks like you might just a little be rounding your back?

I was thinking the exact same thing. if there were a qdoba here, I'd be eating there everyday as a part of my regular diet throughout the week.

If I had more throwaway cash, I'd probably do the same. But on non-special day, my regular meal is nearly $10. I'm probably there enough, though. The workers there have gone from looking at me like I'm not wearing pants when I ask for the burrito with no flour or rice to knowing I get that with double meat every time before I even order.

I was going to the qdoba near my way so often that they were given me my normal triple or quad meat for free [IMG] sooooo good.

Refucked my back. I originally messed it about a month ago on my first warm up set of cleans and finally thought I got over it in the last week. But no, just retweaked it leaning down to put the dumbbells away after a set of incline presses. God damnit. I think I'd be better with it if I injured myself on a heavy set, but both times have been on something really easy.

I broke and rebroke my back (pars fracture) 3 times during high school, and have to work around it constantly. You. Must. Work. Core. And also work on your hamstring/IT flexibility. You can PM for details if you want, it's usually stabilizer bits that need work.
