black cherry greek yogurt + chocolate whey = amazing

i have noticed a hilarious increase in my recovery between sets after 3 weeks of supersetting antagonistic movements. obviously the first incremental benefits will be the greatest, but im resisting the temptation to drink the kool-aid here.. i think my coach is on to something

re-bending? lol if I don't change the angle of my torso until the bar goes past my knee then I'm 70% of the way to lock out with all the weight going to my lumbar spine.

    lulzy workout today,

    brb deadlifts x 5 up to 405
brb using a stability ball to barely BW squat 45 times. Fuck my quads/knees were weak from only low-bar squatting. It felt good to use a spikey-roller to roll-out my injured hip flexor. Got one of those spikes right in there and humped it for 10 minutes. Hurt so good.

Actually. He is correct. That is a sign of re-bending at the knees whilst deadlifting. Or you're just lowering the bar incorrectly.

While the bar travels from the floor to lockout, your knees straightens out right?

Well re-bending occurs usually when the bar is right past the knees where the knee bends again (sometimes very slightly, sometimes a lot) to ramp the weight up on the thighs. This is not the correct technique and will also get red lighted in competition.

So scraping of the shins is normal, really?

I asked this question because a friend that does crossfit told me I was deadliftng wrong.

I try to follow the form shown on t-nation.

Is a crossfit DL where you fill the bar to the end with massive 10lb bumper plates then drop all your reps, including warm-up weights, as soon as you hit lockout?

I have no idea, I don't follow the crossfit trend.

I was simply doing a deadlift, I'll post a video when I get to a computer.

humping the bar with your hips is a good way to give the bar a boost, it's legal in competition

yes i know this i am a certified judge

there's a difference though in delivering the hips in the 2nd pull and pissing blood and having black thighs after each clean. namely it's the difference between good and shitty technique.

unless the dude wasn't talking about banging the bar out, if so then nevermind.
