Just so ya know, it's even harder to stay in shape during 3rd year. If you don't establish your exercise and diet now, you won't stand a chance next year.

Was doing MobilityWOD at gym, standing next to scale. Dude weighs himself, fist pumps and says, "hell yeah bro put on 0.6kg in 60 minutes". I looked at the water bottle in his hand. Couldn't tell if serious or not. Gave him thumbs up.

Going for a non-progressive overloaded PAUSED bench max later today depending on how I feel.

Expecting 325-340, which should put me in the range of 350-365 with a progressive overload for this February.

    Will report back later.

Thanks! Hopefully I feel good enough to do it later. If not, I'll have to hold back til Thursday.

Box squats slowly going up. Still very light weight.
Focusing on correct form, controlled reps and to not buttwink. Using Westside style wide stance for developing glutes and hamstrings. How does it look?
Maybe too low box? (it's just past parallel. I can't perform a normal squat to parallel without rounding lower back.

I'm no expert in box squats, but shouldn't the box be closer (as in right under you)? Looks like he's falling back onto the box...I can't imagine that being very safe with higher weights.

Definitely put that box closer to you to. Way closer.

I, personally, find very little carryover for having your shins angle back that far for box squats. Your shins are going past perpendicular.

I'm using the technique from this video:

Her shins are def past vertical. My box isn't as big (deep) as her, so in order to mimic her form I have to put it further back. But yeah, there's no way I could sit that far back without the box without falling back. I don't think she can do it either.

Since I'm buttwinking when doing regular squat, I don't get proper activation in hamstrings and glutes. I can't do a single glute-ham raise. I chose the westside box squat for building strength in the posterior chain.

I'm a bit lost tbh. I just want to be able to squat to parallel. How do think I shall change my box squat?
My problems are: arching excessively out of hole, lower back rounding, knees come way forward as soon as I start going heavy.
