1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Yep, yoga has done wonders for my mobility. I practice on my own (Ashtanga) or in a studio 5-6 times a week, even when I travel. In fact, I practiced today at a Bikram studio in Milan. Without a doubt the nicest Bikram studio I've seen anywhere. Lots of pretty people, too.

If you're able and willing to build out a gym I say go for it. Building out a gym is the most satisfying thing I've done in terms of fitness. Goals seems to become easier to hit, you push yourself harder, and no silly rules.

A few pics from 3-4 months ago including the girls trying to join anti-asian-ass squad. My friends and I have been adding more and more gradually. It costs a nice chunk of change, but in the end is worth every penny.

I actually own quite a bit of Outlier, keirin cuts included, but still yearn for a nice pair of denim that won't become obsolete in a few months. In other words, I gotta get to where I want to be and hover there before I can buy denim or any other pants for that matter.

Called local gym equipment store... didn't even know what a GHR was :plain: No one around here stocks them, so I guess online will be the only option.

Rack w/ band pegs and monkey bar, ghr, and lat pulldown/low row. Sound complete? Piecing it together.

What kind of power rack did you get? I planning on building a home gym too, after renovations though :(.

Rack, plates, the standard bench, dip station that is attached to the rack. Just recently bought some bands and I'm contemplating the landmine attachment for twists. Possibly more Kbs for the crossfit fans in the group

Saying that myostatin "sets" your muscle limit is a bit problematic. It's probably more correct to say that it sets an equilibrium. And taking drugs/training obviously alters that equilibrium...otherwise we wouldn't be able to gain muscle.

When we each have the same copy number of a particular gene and the sequence is somewhat conserved, epigenetics is probably more important that genetics for most of us. i.e., the the ability to alter the translation of these genes so that they're upregulated and downregulated. Likewise, the actual variation at a genetic level is more likely to slightly alter the activity of the protein - reduce or enhance its binding ability or something like that. Obviously the outliers being the belgian blue cows etc. which presumably have deletions that render the protein completely inactive.
