Yep, eat a shit ton and bust your ass. Pretty simple thing people like to complicate with bro-science because everyone thinks they're some special being that needs a special diet plan.

+1. If some of these fancy diets like CBL or zig-zag were easy for me to follow, I might consider them but for the amount of effort, it isnt worth whatever benefit they may provide.

I did the eat everything and lift heavy, went from 135lbs to 190lbs.. now it's time to dial it back a bit.

I just don't have the discipline to eat clean if I'm not on X diet. Sad truth.

Clean eating is for cutting. Just don't overdo it.

I just "CBL for dummies". There is very little to it.

Zig-zag isn't that difficult to follow once you figure out the calories. Macros are the same every day and there's none of this nutrient timing bro science.

Today, I realized that I must be doing something right.

A big dude, pretty strong. Asked me for some benching advice today. Ended up spending about 30 minutes helping him with setup, form, and technique.

Put on 15 pounds on his max (365 -> 380) in one session with my help.

Felt good helping him. Felt even better helping an already strong guy that asked me, out of all people, for help.

    Zig-zag is nutrient timing.

I guess if you wanna get excruciatingly technical about it. I'm talking about "gotta eat X at X time." Once you've got the calories figured out, it's pretty rudimentary since the macros never change and calories don't change from one week to the next.
