Fuckkkk took a nap and now my gym is closed.
Had a sharp pain / weakness feeling on the right side of my knee cap while doing lunges. I don't have access to a squat rack so I've been supplementing them with lunges, I also have to clean and jerk the weight to get it on my back which has been interesting (get a lot of people looking at me while doing this).. I dunno what it was though, I couldn't do anymore because it would continue to hurt in the movement. I take a pretty far step when doing lunges and sink all the way down until opposite knee almost touches the ground.
eric spoto missed all 3 attempts, feels bad man.
I'm disappointed but I can see why.
About two weeks ago he hit 700 in another competition and leading up to that meet and this meet, he's been benching very heavy, so it's no surprise he missed today.
Today just wasn't his day.
He'll break the WR at his next meet if he plays it smarter leading up to the meet. I'm guessing a 725-735.

Muscle contusion in my left trap plus sore achilles tendon in my left ankle = not working out for the past 4 days. definately gonna to affect my training.
My basketball season starts in Jan, don't wanna let my conditioning fall to rock bottom.
What can a (injured) guy do? Pull sleds? Tomorrow is supposed to be plyo + squat day. Can't do plyo obviously, but gonna try to squat. Not sure if my traps are gonna perform.

My gym just got a rope-pulling machine (sit on bench, pull down on a thick rope that runs on a loop). Is this thing remotely useful? It is easily the most popular machine on the floor.
Shitty workout today, should have done 3 x 5 @ 145 military. The brain was willing but my fucking muscles didn't listen, had to drop to 135. I did 140 last week no problem.
Fuck no. Probably best for building callouss' and maybe some forearm/grip strength.
