Did some deadlifts with just the bar today 3 x 15, didnt help lower back pain. It was feeling back to about 90% until the doctor felt it last week and its been painful ever since. No idea how that can make what was a minor niggle into a painful injury. Might have to resort to just working chest light and hammering arms for a couple of weeks and see if that helps it recover.

I dont really consider just the bar as a deadlift. Thought i should do some sort of rehab work as recommended by rippetoe, although he says do squats with the bar.
Tried to use straps for the first time today...went worse than expected.

So many gym retards. Obese indian kid training his other friend. Saying you shouldn't touch the dumbbells at the top of a press because it takes the tension off weight. He did his incline press in the most retarded way. Went on the bench the other way around and elevated the seat so just his upper back was inclined. Guy was front squatting 60kg with shit form and indian guy said "wow I'll never be that strong". Lost quite a bit of strength during freshers, 35kg dumbbells felt heavy on floor press. Sets of 8 pull ups were hard.
Yea.. that is a good point. I wonder what my rec center would say about me cleaning and front squatting.. gym is really small. I do however really miss that combo of like clear + front squats tripples, got some good legs build up through that. Great idea, will try it next week.
