Get a proper diagnosis, and don't listen to brosci.
Has anyone here ran a westside program before? Never seen it mentioned other then chariy once i think. Been reading up on it a lot, seems interesting. Don't think it would do much good for my bench because its still weak as fuck, but I think it would work pretty well for my squat and for putting on more mass. Seems quite simple and 4 days a week is good for uni. From what I understand a template would go something like this
Max out lower body movement for 3-5ish sets at 90+%
accessory movements to build weak points so thats pretty much hamstrings and abs so
3x12 leg curl
5 sets of heavy ab work
Box squats 70,75,80% of max for 8-10 doubles
same accessory work as ME day.
Would still bench press twice a week, but instead of ME and DE I could just do 5x5 progressive overload and do heavy shoulders, light triceps one day and heavy triceps light shoulders the other and loads of upper back work both days.
muscle snatches 2x3 at 115 lol.
working dat technique
EFS has a sale on belts if anyones interested. Under $50 for a lever or single prong belt. 8mm is pretty thin, but still looks pretty good.
Did 1.3 x BW sled pulls 8 x 50m today. Really fatiguing but feels good. I bet once i recover will be as explosive as heck.
How often should I do to avoid pleateau-ing?
^ Want to do sleds and squat the next day...so how often per week (sleds)?
i dont know i dont pull sleds
Did sleds morning, DE bench evening.
Bench suffered = no more weights on same day after sleds...was advised by coach to start with sleds twice a week. Shall see how it goes.
Fuji...a challenge has been laid.
Blocked sf, twitter, fb and reddit on Firefox at work. Much more productive.
deactivated fb + twitter, dont reddit, just got back to a desk job with sf. how else will i spend my days if i am not furiously f5'ing h+b?
Labrum = torn. Doctor wants to give me a cortisone shot to rule out it being hip flexor related. Likelihood that it responds to cortisone shot is low. Most likely need arthroscopic surgery. Would be back on my feet in a week, PT and return back to full strength in probably 2-3 months.
Man that sucks. I know we were having the exact same problems and looks like we both seeks medical help. I got an MRI on my shoulder and everything checke out. I'm now on NSAIDs. How did you find out you had a torn labrum? Did the doctor
Mobility test cause you any pain? He ran me thought the tests none of them hurt..
