    Same thing happens to me, usually on the last rep or two. Technique and supporting muscles are so limiting on the squat, leg strength i should be moving a lot more weight, but it's hard to get everything to come together. I'd say a lot of it is to do with glutes not activating which is a huge problem for me, they are so loose in a squat. Moved 100kg for 2 x 4 today improved on last weeks 100 x 3RM.

    Been squatting as my lower power exercise for about a month now, might swap it out for deadlifts soon, although i'm never sure if deads actually provide much hypertrophy.

    i managed to wrench my shoulder pretty hard while drunkenly flipping off a diving board and now extending my arm or moving it laterally at all results in pain. the fuck!!!! i just wanna lift bros

    meetup looked fun, i am disappoint that all we got from it was a few cell shots and one drunken fuji rant.

    Now that you mention it, I also have a problem of not activating glutes. Can't remember ever feeling them do any work when squatting.
    There's some warm up exercises for activating glutes in that link maplefuturist posted above.

    Fuji would you recommend wearing a belt for 3-5 rep squats?

    Depends on the percentage, if your doing a triple with 60% of your max no, but if your doing it with anything near a maximal weight i think you should.

    I started using a belt recently for squats, even though I'm only doing 3 plates it helps alot with me tending to lean forward. I got mine from best belts (??) I think - really good quality - but it took a couple weeks for them to ship it out. Check em out if you're looking for a belt.

    >parents start getting there children and walking away
    >Police SUV pull ups like 30 feet away and just sits there
    >Little kid walks up to me and asks me why I'm not wearing shoes (I take my shoes off for pull ups)
    >Little kid asks me what my favourite colour of socks is (tell him grey or white)
    >Little kid asks me to do more pull ups
    >Other little kid starts talking to me about how he does karate and then does some pull ups with me
    >Some guy throws a tennis ball at me and asks me wtf I'm doing by myself in a childrens playground talking to little kids
    >Tell him I'm doing pull ups
    >Man fucks off so I continue doing my pull ups
    >Finish pull ups and walk away, police SUV drives off.


    Fuck you America for hating on my gains.

    ^^ That happened to a mate of mine in Wales.
    He drove away in his car after doing his pull ups and the Police pulled up behind him at a garage, wanted to know why he was in the kiddies bit of the park...:uhoh:
