Actually, I have a question on behalf of her.

Right now she's on a "do what you can as heavy as you can" routine b/c she can't do squats or heavy DL's because of patellar tendonitis. (She does goblet squats and Stiff legged deadlifts)

Right now she does an upper body/lower body split 2x a week thing with like, 8-10 exercises per work out. She's progressing on all of her lifts, but she was wondering if she should

    a) keep doing what she's doing.
    b) cut some of the assistance
    c) turn it into a 3 or 4 day split and distribute the assistance throughout the day.

Depends. What exercises? Basically, write out her plan.

My own feeling is that it's too much volume, but apparently she does them at a good clip and is progressing on all of her lits, and since she can't do big compounds, maybe it makes more sense...so idk :/

    Here, I'll post something.

The guy who writes my programs and diets when I'm not injured (LOL). If you want a good, solid program and diet based on SCIENCE, he's the guy..

Quote: the other upside is I get jacked really easily.
with the hunger pangs comes an easy six- (and eight-, if I am a champion)pack. and a super chiseled jaw, and a drop-12 suit. also, my wife magically starts doing 100% of the housework (even though she works more hours than i do) when i get super ripped.
    it's worth it.

there's also the personal history/memories factor. see, there's this magical threshold, right around 7% body fat, where ridiculous things start to happen ... um, "socially". ridiculous things of the sort that's largely restricted to locker-room braggadocio.
i'm married now, so (most of) that ridiculousness is past tense. but, as far as "embrace your body type", oh hell no.

i can still pick up and throw various motherfuckers if things go south, although i'm starting to reach the age where my preferred martial art is verbal judo.

can't stand the smell of weed. i'd rather smell fresh turds, even.

also, I'm one of those annoying "no alcohol, no drugs, church every sunday" type dudes, so that gets in the way of trying such things.
