got a herman miller aeron, a trackball, and an ergonomic keyboard.. getting serious here.
Thinking of doing this if I get this helpdesk role with Apple. What keyboard did you get?
no hate for real, but, all of this "waahh, i can't eat enough calories during a bulk/IF" talk makes me absolutely sick ... with jealousy. i would have absolutely no trouble at all eating five thousand calories in two hours -- and that's of low-fat foods. if i were throwing down peanut-butter-infused-ice-cream-sludge topped with almonds soaked in flax oil like some of the brahs here, i would probably hit five figure calories before even being satisfied.
i've managed to keep my weight down to around 180 and 8-9% body fat, but only by being hungry all the time. for me, eating a maintenance level of 2600-2700 calories a day feels like 24/7 fasting. it's worth it for the physique (and to fit into nice clothes), but i am hungry the whole day long.
the only upside to all this is that i put on muscle very easily ... in a shroud of fat.
on a serious note:
do you guys know any real (legal) appetite suppressants that actually work?
here's the rap sheet so far:
* caffeine -- no effect
* 1,3 dimethyl stuff (oxyelite, jacked, etc) -- makes me hungrier
* ephedra -- no effect, then makes me hungrier when i come down off it
* vyvanse/dexedrine/other ADD stuff (i have rx) -- no effect, but makes me "focus" more on the food once i start eating
i need to find something that actually suppresses appetite. so far, the only thing i've found is to be so busy that i just don't have time to eat, but that is obviously not sustainable in the long run.
thoughts? maybe this is the wrong crowd to ask about appetite *suppressants*, but figured i'd try?
What about vegetables (fiber)?
XTend and other BCAA mixes do a decent job at keeping my hunger at bay
What about will power?
Or get a standing desk / stand more often.
The Herman Miller chair is awesome though.
What kind of trackball and keyboard did you get?
He already said will power is the only way he can do maintenance.
"will power" was not used in his post.
He's named everything legal as far as keeping hunger down. I have nothing to offer him except the general "harden the fuck up"

What about sleep? Does that affect you?
I feel least hungry with about 5 hours of sleep. My mind is best with 6, so I usually shoot for five and a half.

This should come as no surprise given that this is SF, but the source of the willpower is the desire to wear the expensive clothes in my closet. And, well, let's say my wife is as into visuals as most men are, maybe more.
I've been fairly successful in convincing myself that hunger pangs are The Good Feeling Of Not Being A Fat Fuark, but they still suck and I would like to rid myself of them.

We both end our night with cottage cheese.
Dude just say fuck it and go bearmode. Embrace your bodytype. Who needs nice clothes when you can pick up and throw any motherfucker who dares step to you?

Also, this might sound odd, but weed suppresses my appetite really well. Wake and bake all weekend long.
You shouldn't reduce sleep just because it helps keep hunger at bay.
Caffeine and keeping busy, that's what I do.
