klokov out too
Why? He's my favourite lifter, brah is lolzy as fuck.
uniqlo bro copying hair circa summer 2010 (did not even lift at the time, well a bit, just in my room)
Klokov out for undisclosed medical reasons.
Thats why I'm thinking. Kazakhstan brah raping the world record. Didn't even look that hard for him.
Yea I listed to Metal when I lift. Mostly Burzum and Darkthrone cause anything else is power.
That was 5 kg off the U105 WR, the way he was lifting it looked like Ilyin might've done that too. 6/6 shit weighed nothing.
He didn't even really take any time to set up for his lifts. Just walked up and grabbed it. His cleans and snatches looked effortless, jerks looked a little hard.
1. Sure it counts. You instinct regarding balancing form and effort is right: it's tough and there's no perfect answer. Generally, it's important to bias form over absolute max efforts. This is particularly true for beginners. You'll often feel like you could lift more if you let your form deteriorate. Early on (read: for the first year or so), it's better to really focus on technique. You don't want to start lifting seriously heavy weights with bad technique. You'll get hurt. At the same time, keep in mind that developing technique is also developing strength. If you can't squat more than 82.5kg with good technique, it's because you aren't strong enough somewhere. It might not be your posterior chain, but it's likely your core, or some stabilizing muscles. You'll actually do more to strengthen these weak bits by keeping the weight at a level you can squat with pretty good technique.
2. That being said, every once in a while you do need to just let yourself go for a max effort. That means accepting that your technique won't be perfect. Even on these days, don't let yourself go so heavy that your technique is complete shit, though.
3. Don't worry so much about volume. If you've squatted to a 3RM, you don't need to then go do leg press. Seriously. If you've got something left in the tank, do another set of squats.
Fuuuu went for a run in my new frees, must've pushed too hard or something because the outside of my foot is fuckin killing me.
105kg class canceled. brb 2016.
Been a year since zyzz died, thank god I have belgian caramel waffle cookies (kind starbucks has that you put over your coffee and the steam melts them) and pork shoulder to get me through these sad times.
Besides unilateral hip thrusts, what else to iron out hip strength imbalance? (left hip more flexible, but weaker?) My 1RM is way too wobbly for my liking.
Bulgarian splits? Pistol squats? More unilateral work?
Why do you like him so much? The guy was an eternal attention seeker.
Get the new Testament album. Tons of awesome workout songs. I don't listen to that much death or anything extreme any more as I find myself laughing at the cookie monster vocals more and more now that I'm older. Some bands I still like, though.
