I prepare mine a special way.

Step 1: Add 3/4 cup water to 1/2 cup oatmeal in a microwaveable bowl
Step 2: Microwave on high for 2 minutes
Step 3: Mix 3 packets Splenda and 1/4 cup strawberries
Step 4: Take bowl and drop it in the trash

Yeah, that's about right. I keep trying to come back to it but its no good since I have to add 35g sugar to be able to eat 1/2c of the shit. If I try and nuke it it explodes all over my fucking microwave. Who needs this shit?

I have been doing pretty typical chest work - bench press, dips, DB flys, paused benches etc. I dont do much shoulder stretching though I did start doing lacrosse ball across the pec. Shoulder rehab has been largely focused on internal rotation courtesy of Coldsnap - T-spine rotations, side lying rotations, scapula wall slides, corner wall chest/shoulder stretch. I do think the fact that I have discomfort in my right shoulder and neck issues on my right side is not a coincidence.

If you make a single portion and add raisins before putting it in the microwave, it will stay in the bowl.

This doesn't exactly sound right to me.

Firstly, a huge amount of the material out there is about gaining weight, ignoring fat, so I don't find it plausible that the mega cheat diet fails to gain traction because of a fear of food. These concepts are very prevalent, even among routines and plans which are not strictly diet related (see SS discussion 20 posts ago).

Secondly, I'm not sure what to read into your first sentence. Bro-science has variable meanings and "big boards" tend to run in cycles discussing every lunatic trend every so few weeks, so the mega cheats would inevitably get some play on them.

Lastly, if we're dismissing diets as bro-science, what category would you place your mega cheats in today? There seems to be an issue with the diet if I follow you correctly as you have been suggesting a failure to gain weight for several months now. Would that not require that you inevitably call the diet a failure and bro-science?

Mega cheat days in the category of common sense for people that don't want to cram 4k calories worth of food in their mouth every day. It's easier to maintain a higher weekly average with it than without.

I've had trouble putting on body weight not because of the diet but due to my own eating abilities. 4,000 wasn't enough for me and now I have to figure out ways take in food that's easier to eat more of without feeling like shit everyday.

Haven't gained any weight in several months, but have gotten leaner/bigger and stronger (the latter which is most important).

If anything, the failure to gain weight for several months like this would require for me to inevitably call the diet a success. It's used to keep people lean and strong. Not for gaining weight particularly. But like I said, I'm figuring out a way to gain some body weight off it it as well. It's just a matter of increasing calories.

Can I jus take this opportunity to tell all you skinny fucks how much I hate you :)

At about 5'6 and 190lbs right now. No problem gaining strength, ever really, but if I eat more than about 2300 calories a day I get fatter.

What's all this microwave crap? Didn't know that heating water in a kettle and pouring that in was considered "old-school." No mess, no fuss.

Saucepan. 1/2 cup oats, just over 1 cup water. Bring to boil, turn heat to low and stir continuously for 5 minutes or until consistency is to your liking. Add milk, butter, and honey. Add mashed ripe banana. Mix together, eat.

I add apples, walnuts, and a touch of cinnamon, then eat. No sugar or sweetener is added. I've also eaten oatmeal with blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries on top. Good stuff.

yeah, oatmeal with berries is pretty sweet. hard to get the texture of the oats right but once you do, its great.

slow-cooker buffalo chicken went well, put it on a roll with lettuce, banana peppers and ranch. i could eat buffalo flavoured anything

I eat oatmeal with just water. Sometimes I put it in a protein shake.

I calculated my general food costs today and the lowest I could get my food cost was to 7.50 a day and still eat 200g protein. But I found a farm that sells produce nearby with much cheaper vegetables so possible 7 or 6.5. Being a poor student is not fun
