    Nah.

I hate dat feel when I miss a day from my split. I have to choose between squartz and pull ups or db incline, db ohp, tricep extensions and pull ups. I have chosen the squartz.

Can any wet shaving brahs recommend me an aesthetic post shave balm? Been using founders reserve for 2 years, ran out today, currently crying.

Overtraining tends to be a problem that creeps up on you over weeks and months. It's not really an acute problem, or something you'll make happen in a week. Overtraining tends to be the result of not giving your body sufficient time to recover. This can happen from a workout frequency being too high, food intake being too low, or sleep being too little. It tends to be a combination of the three.

If you've had a couple bad workouts in a row, ask yourself, how are you feeling generally? Are you feeling tired or run down? Have you been sleeping well? Have you been eating well?

Rest is really important, and it's good to listen to your body. A couple of bad workouts may mean you need a small rest. Rather than maintaining frequency and dialing back intensity, it's worth giving yourself a genuine rest every once in a while. I tend to train 5 days a week and rest 2. Ever 2 months or so, I take 2-3 days off in a row.

    What's your training schedule like?

Like i said, you will need to gain 2lb/week for starting strength to work. Start making shakes and drinking milk. How long have you been on SS? I think even i managed 2 months before i stalled on squats, and i had a pretty shit experience with it.

Question -- are there circumstances other than self defense where punching someone doesn't get you thrown in jail? For example, if someone grabs a girl you're with?

I guess that it might work if you're defending someone else?

I've been sleeping 9 hours a night. Generally feeling OK, haven't been sick or anything, just sore from training. I was eating 2600kcal for my first 4-5 weeks doing SS, which seemed sufficient for me at 56.2kg. After failing to complete my work set last Wednesday, I increased my calorie intake (starting Thursday) to 3000. I've been gaining on average 1 pound a week which seems OK. Like stinger mentioned, it's probably not enough now. I train three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). I'll see how I feel on Monday after warming up. If I still feel like I won't be able to complete my work sets, should I skip my squat workout altogether and leave it for Wednesday? The press also stalled so I'm guessing it wasn't enough calories.
Yep. Adding milk to increase calorie intake has been handy. Have been on SS for 5 weeks now I think.

I guess that depends on your legislation and what that states. is throwing the first punch sometimes justified by common sense - yes, however will the court find that - I wouldn't know. At least here self defense basically covers only the least amount of harm you can inflict to be able to extricate yourself from the situation at hand, i.e the first shove or punch/whatever, subsequent ones would be classified as assault.

but I'm no lawyer and I have no experience with fighting (which is a good thing I think) - had a knife pulled on me once but I was able to talk my way out of that.

Believe it or not, I'm also a lawyer. Affirmative defenses to assault include self-defense, defense of another, coercion, and necessity.

The example you've described is defense of another, and basically involves the same principles of self defense. In order for your actions to be justified, most US states will require you to show that you had a (i) reasonable fear of (ii) imminent bodily harm to yourself or another, and that (iii) your response was proportional. Basically, if you someone grabs a girl you are with, you can defend her, within reason. If you escalate the level of violence, say by pulling out a weapon, you've lost your defense.

Thanks for the response. I guess I should have worded my question more properly, though.

Last night I was at a club with some friends and this fucking creeper lurking in the background grabs one of my female friend's asses. The first time we let it slide...but the second time it was blatant. I called the guy out and he pulled the "what are you going to do about it?" at me. My question is, since the girl was in no imminent danger per se, if I had decked the guy for grabbing her, do I spend the night in jail?

Punch the brah then run or yell memes at him, maybe both? Had da popo called on me again last weekend for making a road block out of signs, it was lolzy. I hate pervy brahs in clubs, always tonnes of arab ones trying to give my gf coke or drinks. Sometimes its lolzy to let them buy her drinks then come in and be like "you mad?". My gf says misc memes now, it's weird.

Had a retard talk to me at the gym today. Was paused squatting 157.5kg and he comes up to me and asks if I'm training for strength or size, told him strength. He then proceeds to strip off plates until it's just 60kg and demonstrate technique to me and tell me I should try starting strength to get through my plateau. Told him I did it before and i'm not plateauing. He then told me to increase my intensity by doing drop sets, super sets and short breaks because apparently thats really good for strength. Told him squatting 95% of my max for doubles is better. Asked me what my max was, told him 170kgx3 and he fucked off. wtf is with SStards licking mark ripptoes ass. It's not a magic program, it's not gonna work for me when I'm squatting reasonably high weight, I'm not gonna put 7.5kg on my squat every week.

I got a PR though 157.5kg for 5x2. Increasing to 160kg on wednesday.

Neck pain keeps getting worse and worse, seemingly unprovoked. Has gotten to the point where just having a conversation with someone sitting next to me is tough unless I turn my body to face them. Pain is worst on the right side, probably parallel to the bottom of my ear, feels like pressure forcing my neck/head down, like a persistent crick. $@(_$@)(&%_@

Dont skip your squat workout, do a deload. I dunno if you have the SS book (i dont) but go on startingstrength wiki it tells you how to deload etc. Basically reduce the weight on stalling lifts, eat more, and work back up through the plateau. Dont worry about getting fat, dem noob gains will stop that happening.
