    My gym brahs 18th birthday tomorrow. Gonna get him to mix his post workout protein with gin. He's gonna vomit. I went to see my gf today instead of lifting, feels beta man. Gonna have to miss out on upper body power day this week.

    Just back from vacation. Last 3 days sick as a dog, wasn't able to sleep more than 4 hours a night for the past 10 days. No working out, feel soft, weak, fat, and sick. No buses home from the airport, had to queue for the taxi with 300+ people due to the T8 typhoon signal. Arrived home at 3am. Up at 7 to get to work for the whole day. Can't talk, coughing up green shit. fml

    Going on vacation till tuesday. Going to eat like a slob and get even fatter. Then tuesday i start whatever John Pinder has planned for me.

    did machine upper body workout to get dat pump while i wait for my abs to heal. i don't think it helped, but i don't think it particularly hurt either

    I think need to dial in my fucking diet. No more carbs. I feel like a fat slob looking at my vacation photos. DIEL? I've got this hour-glass thing going on with my lower back that looks fucking disgusting.

    Russian guy is so lolzy at the gym. He's from siberia. Was doing speed work with 160kg on the squat.


    Did paused box squats with 155kg for 5x2 then 10x3 pull ups with a 10kg plate. Could probably have done sets of 5, but I didn't want to go to failure.

    tiger balm = no pain. Slight discomfort still but the pain itself went poof!

    Don't know how I should train my pull ups now that im doing them weighted. Could work up until im doing like 10 reps with a 10kg plate then go to a 15 or I could just progressively overload it with 1.25kg plates. I think people normally just increase reps, but it's still just a movement and I wouldn't train the squat by increasing reps.

    For some reason, I'd never really done hook grip on my oly-lifting - I was most comfortable using only my fingers. However, I did 3x8 hang power cleans after a DL workout yesterday, and hook grip made them feel like I had straps on. Awesome.

    Also, quite liking 5/3/1.

    What I've personally done, since I tend to train more for strength, is work up to 3 x 5 reps and then add weight. Micro loading was a life saver with that. But I think as long as you're increasing something you can't go wrong.
