What's the best way to correct muscle imbalances? Apparently if you bench unevenly it's disqualified and my left arm is weaker

Hahaha. Your prodding will not get to me as I'm not actually Scottish.

Everything said about David Lloyd is definitely correct. I mean, it was created by a tennis player - unlikely it will be a proper gym (I love tennis, don't get me wrong). In such a huge building how do they only have one squat "rack", and an incline rack at that. How's a man to squat with that BS?! There should be a strict positive ratio of power racks to smith machines, not 1:1, and definitely not negative.

I guess I should look into it. Not sure if I can afford it on my salary considering I just started working in my industry. But I like what chairy has going for him and jarude is avoiding hanging out with me so I cant speak for him.

C'mon, man, you just dropped like $500 on Uniqlo. John's rates work out to like a buck a day. He's pretty flexible with payment plans, too. He's not really in this for the money, so he's usually able to work something out.

Diet has a huge role in body comp, getting your food / rest & recovery right should be a priority.

Coldsnap -- on your concerns with dieting

-Once you have visible abs, you realize it's worth it
-If you weigh 170 now, your sub-10 BF will probably be around 150-155..which for someone who is 5'7" isn't bad. I mean, you're not gonna look huge and juicy, but you aren't going to lose all your lean mass if you properly diet.
-Once you get sub-10 BF, it's MUCH easier to see what areas need improvement and much easier to visually track progress
-While losing 15 pounds is going to result in some strength loses, it won't be as drastic as you fear if you cut properly. And, you'll improve in other lifts(pullups, core work come to mind).

People get too obsessed with scale weight. It can be a useful guidepost when trying to gain or lean out, but who gives a shit how much you weigh if you aren't happy with how you look?

Here's a good example of why it's not smart to get hung up on scale weight. This is one of John's clients, before and after (about a year):

    [IMG] [IMG]

His weight in the Before is 195. His weight in the After is... 195.
