I have a pair. Not worth it.
My gym doesn't allow barefoot squats.
i'll just lift in some vans era then.
ridiculously enough, while I did buy a belt for OL a while ago, I find lifting without a belt much more comfortable. so I never use it lol
Decided not to feel so bad about outgrowing denims. I think I got 10 months out of my current size and given how slim things are worn these days I probably can't complain about that. The mistake, however, is having 3 pairs of my "current" size. I've worn the one pair a ton, there are no fades, and I'm about to retire them. The other two only get sold at a loss.
I can imagine on a deep squat it would be pretty uncomfortable.
Dem high volume pull ups today, will see how long it takes to get 100 out.
Edit: Did 40 and then the elbow pain got really intense and I had to quit. Guess it's not just squats. Will prob go see a sports doctor.
I have never seen anyone so consistently complain about injuries and simultaneously be so unwilling to change anything about their routine. Hope the doc helps.
Brb quitting squats and presses, wait wut?
I have not been this sore everywhere (and in places that I didn't know could be sore) in a long time.
This routine is making it hard to move hah
I just finished weighing in for my meet. Dropped 15 lbs last night in about 5.5 hours. Now working on putting it (and then some) all back on. Taking a stab at a 600+ squat tomorrow for a new federation world record!
I went to Crunch today and low and behold, they had brought in an Olympic lifting platform with bumpers etc. I was going to deadlift off of it but then realized that the platform has wood slats where you stand. Deadlifting in on a slick wood floor seems like a great way to seriously injure yourself.
I've lifted in a system like this before. I can't say what I experienced was a SLICK wood floor, but it was definitely wood. Did they wax it or something? If it really is just wood, you should be fine.
Yikes at that last minute drop.
Good luck. Hope that cut isn't going to affect you too much.
I tried moving on it in socks, did not feel safe. Will take a picture of it next time and post. I suspect it is Crunch trying to keep pace with the cross fit movement.
My legs got worked so hard yesterday I couldn't walk after my last set. All I did was 2 work sets of squats, then 5 x 10 sets of leg presses at a relatively light weight then 5 x 10 sets of leg curls, but I focused really hard on technique and went slow. Feels like death today.
While I was waiting to squat there was a guy with 405 racked up. He had a spotter behind him so I thought "here comes the beef-train! choo chooo!" but nope, he bends his knees about 3-4 inches before screaming and coming up for 5 reps. Fuck you, dickhead.
