I think the stance might have something to do with a need for better shoes. I need oly shoes bad. Either that or go barefoot. It just feels hard to balance with a narrower stance. But, I'll give it a go.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, looks too wide. ALmost like your knees are collapsing in - could be the angle though.

Like Charly said, but I still would bring them in instead of out, point the toes out a bit (5-10*). Get some better shoes as well, something less squishy/

    edit: you ninja you.

Some don't like pulling in oly shoes, but I found it helpful. The only way my gf pulls is in oly shoes.

Take your shoes off and pull in your socks.

I never got why people pull in oly shoes. Its like standing on a box your adding like an 2 inch extra of pulling

Apparently it helps you pull with a more upright torso and quad involvement.

    interesting.

i always though oly shoes were helpful only for squats, but i guess when you clean and jerk you also pull

    or snatch

    doesn't matter, any pull.

i always felt like having a heel helped me engage the glutes more.

despite gratuitous body shots of nearly every regular poster in here, this is still one of the least-gay threads on sf

I hope that if I run for public office that this thread never surfaces on the campaign trail. :embar:

This thread is about squartz. Squartz can never be homo. Even with the yes homo spot.
