Ready to rage?
+1. I know you aren't, but you look like you could lose about 80 pounds in that picture. I have a feeling slim fit + your bulk = never going to work.
Let me introduce you to my good friends ephedrine and bulemia.
Bad shot. Gf thinks it fits well.
I'll get some better ones next time
Only neither of them are actually league champions for this or the previous season?
How I was told to do them originally.
I think that's an ok fit for knucks. I mean what in the fuck can you do if you're built like a brick shithouse?
Obvious answer is obvious....cut.
Video from yesterday's meet.
198 Open Raw Modern (Raw with wraps)
Weighed in at 193.2.
Squats - 440 (good/meet pr), 475 (good/meet pr), 500 (good/all time pr)
Bench - 285 (good), 310 (good/meet pr), 330 (miss)
Deadlift - 485 (good), 525 (good/meet pr), 550 (good/meet pr)
Next time, elite total. Hopefully with a healthy left shoulder.
The more rectanglemode you are, the easier it is to find clothes that fit. Less drop means you're more able to wear fatty clothing.
I found it way easier to find clothing that fit when I was doing a ton of kb lifting and not a lot of chest.
Nice job. That 550 sure was a grinder LOL.
Really enjoyed that video. Things that surprise me (probably due to ignorance on my part):
Bench grip is wider than I would expect, but it makes sense.
Third squat almost looks too shallow.
Your hips on the DL's look high but it's not like your top half is bent way over, either. Do you have relatively long arms?
This is true to a point.
Hahaha yeah thanks. Grinder and a half for sure.
My bench grip is is actually about 1.5-2" narrower on each side of the maximum width you're allowed to have on competition bench presses.
All camera angles for squats suck (unless it's dead on to the side at hip level). I sunk all my squats. And according to everyone I asked, my third attempt was actually the deepest of all of them.
Yeah, I love the higher hip starting position. I wish I had longer arms but my arms are pretty average - if anything a 0.5" shorter than avg. But I can start so high by curving my back a lot. Learned that trick from watching Tom Martin and KK videos as well as instructions from my coach.
