that's exactly what I am working on
cleaned up diet, consuming about 1000cal less a day, and squat is going up
I will probably do that at some point, specifically when I'm in the army. Don't want to be too heavy and lose mobility/speed/the ability to get by on regular rations or be more likely to set an IED off.
Hell yea, lets all get to our goals.
Well, once you reach a 2x BW squat, the next logical step is to repeat it and then repeat it multiple times.
How bad are sugars really?
Right now, my main sources of sugars per day come from 2 fruits, 4-6 strawberries and a tsp of chili sauce.
I don't eat any candy, sweets or cakes whatsoever, so the sugar all comes from "good" sources.
I could skip the sugars but would make the dishes boring.
It should also be added that my goal right now is to lose fat.
That's a fairly insignificant amount and probably used up easily by the body. Since it's not pure added sugar, fruits have a lower glycemic index. The fructose in the fruits must be converted to glucose, so it's dispersed in the body at a slower rate.
Might consider avoiding bananas if you are limiting sugar.
Once I become a greek god I will probs stop bulking and work on staying as lean as possible year round
Why only double body weight squat and deadlift? That'll have you squatting and pulling less then 4 plates. double body weight deadlift can be reached in a few months.
It's just something that I think is a good indication that you are strong. Once I hit that then I want to just focus on staying lean with those numbers like you.
Was able to finish leg day today just went about 30lbs lighter on squats. It hurt so good to get some great depth on a squat with the bruised glute. Fought through it. feelsgoodman.jpg
Also I saw a guy who had to be well into his 50's squatting with 3 plates, not bad. Although he was using the neck pad which bugs me whenever I see people doing it.
When I'm cutting I have over 100 gummy bears in less than an hour about every two weeks. Sugars have their place.
So upon ending my cut I did a major carb refeed and fueled up. Today I was able to pull 365 x 6 no problem, so I think I'll attempt 4 plates next week. Feels good having all this extra carb energy.
