a lot of those breakfasts seem like work before going to actual work!

i have a smoothie with frozen berries, kale, macca, mct oil, vegegreens, cacao and hemp protein

or if even lazier i make coffee with mct oil and cacao powder and some ghee - you'd be surprised how well that works as a breakfast!

    what's your favourite indian food?

northern indian (which is basically what everyone has in mind when thinking indian), south indian, kashmiri, vegetarian, nonveg?

mine is saag paneer (spinach n cheez), bharta (eggplant), plain roti, alu gobi (potato/cauliflower), and raita. western sikh temples have the best langar, too.

you know how you ask people what would be there last meal if they got to choose and most of them would go with comfort food, mom cooked food - would you guys choose the homey stuff or something ostentatious for your last meal? i'd go with the above

Re: Indian Food -My MIL makes cabbage kofta in a tomato yogurt gravy that is one of my all time faves. She also makes a rice dish flavored with tamarind paste that has fried lentils and peanuts in that I always load my plate up with whenever it's available. Also, hard to beat a good samala dosa.

My mom and dad saw an episode of Anthony Bourdain's CNN show with David McMillan (of Joe Beef) last night, and now they're completely addicted to Bourdain.

Taiwanese night markets... 12 flavors of mochi, caramelized corn on the cob, deep fried everything, exploding cage puff crackers, aloe drink, glutinous oyster omelette w. random brown sauce, tako yaki, grilled chicken heart skewers, cho doufu, slate-grilled wild boar. I am not proud. Well, maybe a little.

I have to say, even though I previously ragged on Bourdain for his most recent "drunken hotdog" stuff, I just saw the Libya episode of his new CNN show and it was intense. Not a lot of food coverage, but the human stories of the revolution were really good.
