1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Agreed, I love when his vocals pop up in his songs, but only when they are indistinct and farther back

Those are military pants made from recycled military pant fabric, and then overdyed black. The ankles have drawstrings, so that you can wear them tight at the ankle or loose, on top of your footwear. I usually wear them loose at the bottom, covering my sneakers, but that's a personal preference. The entire mini-collection will be black with some red. I grew up in Canada, and spend a lot of time in the Canadian wilderness in winter. The inspiration behind these pieces is how Monitaly would look in a Canadian winter's evening, black with just a flicker of light from the fire.

The other thing I was thinking of when I dreamt this up was the Hokkaido of Murakami's A Wild Sheep Chase. Incidentally: http://ajw.asahi.com/article/behind_news/social_affairs/AJ201501040011

Yes. But since they are being made into pants, they are also recycled pant fabric?

This only makes sense if they are pants made from tents that were recycled pants. And, even then, wouldn't they be upcycled?

Fuck, can you tell that this grant proposal I'm about to turn in has fried my brain? Time to get drunk and think about Margaret Howell. Well, her clothes. Not her clothes, but the clothes she makes that I want to wear.

Back when I was an academic, I always had to fight the urge to write as part of "purpose of research": "Do whatever it takes to continue to get paid"
and in "broader impacts": "I'll get paid and be able to pay some students as well."

Yoga pants are the best thing to happen to women's clothing since there was a bra shortage in 1939.

Yeah, those are important things. I don't imagine they would earn any review points for my proposal, unfortunately. I didn't realize you had left academia. What, are you the Styleforum Executive Director full time now?
