1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Is there anyways to tell or test whether your denim stops bleeding all over your shoes/clothes? Got a nice pair of white sneakers and I am babying them :embar:

    What about cuffing the denim?

Aren't you suppose to wash dry denim after you wear them for 6 to 12 months? Or maybe there's a new method now. I forgot.

^I'll give them a soak tomorrow morning. Hopefully it doesn't shrink them either =\

I've been buying my Baxter of California stuff from Mr P for the free shipping. They still carry some cool brands though and their website/interface is imo one of the best.

Impulse bought some Raf chain derbys... Arriving on Tuesday not sure how I will feel about them in person

ask her if she's heard of rick owens

I always ask girls who are into "fashion" if they know rick owens

most of the time they don't and it infuriates me. total deflation

I like Sk8 His but every time I put them on I wish they had a side zipper.. Does any brand make decently priced hightops with a side or back zipper? I'm not really going to pay $400 for W+H shoes or other designers..

Vans make some sk8-his with a back zip. You gotta look around for them though.
    Also Buttero on sale.

the backzip is OK but not as good as a sidezip would be. they seem to do limited quantities and colors of the backzip ones, but if you keep an eye out over time, you might find what you're looking for. also it's worth asking your cobbler if they could put a zipper in.

    and @gettoasty let it bleed

Dropped a ton of stuff off at the tailor rather than induling in more new SS

FINALLY taking @Synthese and LHBs suggestions to taper a few of my pants that had been disturbing my fits via sloppystax

Also has anyone spent time describing their sale item so much that you start having second thoughts about selling it?

Essentially, there is no way of stopping this. I suppose that if you wash the jeans a billion times... Indigo is a naturally unstable dye, and the darker the denim, the more it will likely bleed.

Wearing washed denim with a pinch roll has me wanting to go full 80's. Need to dig up my starter jackets.

I list something for sale at $80, you offer me $75, I'm not gonna sell it to you simply out of spite.

Talked with a friend today who is into fashion (as opposed to me only wear practical clothes) about some fw15 collections. She said people wear Lemaire better be old-money.

    I'm the opposite

I just get annoyed when people offer me like 30% of the asking price

30% of the asking price is sorta ridiculous. I generally ask to do an immediate deal at 25-30% off the asking price. The counter typically starts at 10% off, and we generally settle at 20% off the starting price. To me, that's the typical discount that a good retailer will extend to long time customers, so it seems pretty reasonable to me.

I don't get people that hangout in normal clothes around the house.. The moment I step inside my place I'm in PJs.
