1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Really interested to see the lookbook. With those two in particular, they seem like complete opposites in color/texture/fit. The only thing is Acne doesn't pretend they don't want thin people, EG pretends like they don't care but then makes XLs with 22" p2p.

I've always wondered how much clothing advice has been given here while the poster was sitting on the toilet.

The intersection may be small, but it is very active.
A lot of stores sell out of many pieces/styles before the stock gets to them. And pre/special orders are a big part of their business too.

And yet, New York can't support Atelier.

I'm aware, but my point is that tariffs are so ridiculously high on imported goods, foreign products are still more expensive in Russia than abroad.

There are some people who smuggle stuff into the country, past customs. But they're still paying for the stuff using the ruble, which doesn't go very far.

Google has also decided to close its offices there.

Atelier was a poor example, but given that thamanyah is only a few seasons old and that Poell hasn't put out a collection in that time, this really isn't the reason. One big problem was the naive business model. Anyway this has been discussed at length and they're reopening the store using the pedigree but under the watch of new Chinese overlords who will inundate it with awful brands and easy sales to keep the venture going however distant it may be from the original.

My mom got me a cashmere hoodie for Hannukah. Some random brand from Century 21.

I see them from a few retailers here or there but I can't figure out why are these things not more popular, because they're fucking amazing--I'm wrapped in a cocoon of softness.

acne works in a lot of places because they do a smart mix of designer pieces and nice basics. it makes them cool enough that a high-end store can carry them without sacrificing credibility and still lets the store make money from sales of jeans and tees. compare with Rag & Bone and you'll see what I mean. personally i think they've been really smart about their strategy and it's worked very well for them.

i've heard some different things about atelier, including that business wasn't so bad, despite what was said publicly. but who knows. the relaunch will still have some of the same leadership. karlo is there, for example. that's kinda reassuring to me. i think it's cool that they're branching out a bit too. i don't like the whole brand list but if the buy is right it could still be a great store.
