1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

the hangover was unreal today. pedialtye continues to work its magic.

Thanks @Synthese @nineohtoo @Abraxis @aether for putting up with me showing up intoxicated after my work holiday party. These dudes are much more kawaii in person. We should definitely do a meet up again, and I promise I won't drink before hand.

Did not realize @aether came all the way up from Mountain View, that's nuts!

Thanks for coming out guys. Gonna bug the shit out of some of you after the holidays so we can nerd out about sci-fi and manga again. We can walk around and ask dudes about their clothes and be collectively surprised when someone's boots aren't f+b or buttero, but devoa and that he's got an acr jacket on too lol.

Speaking of Styleforum meetups, I just grabbed some beers with a bunch of super handsome dudes at Aeronaut Brewery in Somerville. @mike868y, @afixedpoint, @Ken P, and @ridethecliche—thanks for setting up the mini Boston gathering tonight.

(Y'all can bug Ken for the photos—mine all came out real shitty.)

There should be a streetwear group challenge.

    1.) Assemble regional SF cohort
    2.) Get inebriated
3.) Conduct interviews and shenanigans and catch on video

Sellers keep disappearing when I ask for measurements. I was ready to pay for one item but I wanted some extra measurements before I committed. I ask and the dude totally disappears.

Asked for measurements for another item from different seller and all I got was "it's a stock 46, hope that helps".

Why won't people let me give them my money?

As a seller that's sold well over 100 things on styleforum...

...when someone asks for measurements and I didn't already have them listed...

...99% of the time you never hear from them again or they don't buy it. Give them 5 measurements and it's 5 reasons why they won't buy it. It's not worth the time.

    "oh, 17.5 S2S? I really need 17.7" thanks."

"everything is perfect but sleeves are a little too long"

When things sell, it's either (a) they know what it is and how it fits or (b) it's so cheap that they can't resist

    This. 100%.
I can't even count how many times this has happened to me. I also get a lot of people committing to buy something and then I never hear from them again. There's a lot of window shopping that goes on, that's for sure.

Imagine how it is for online retailers? You know most of the time they want the measurements so they can buy it elsewhere for cheaper lol.

Oh I definitely agree, I've had this happen to me plenty of times and it is annoying. I just thought it was a little funny because I was ready to pull the trigger for those items.

That would totally suck for me and the seller, as I wanted both things pretty bad :(

It's understandable to window shop with B&S ads though even if it is a little annoying to always get asked for measurements then not have any reply.
