1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Y'all should read David Graeber's article if you haven't already. He takes Fuuma's argument one step further:

IMO it's sorta pointless to claim any job is 'irrelevant' or 'bullshit' in any objective sense, since the people shelling out the money for Oprah to stay on air or the social media assistant to log into Snickers' Twitter account obviously think some value is coming from the investment. The important discussion is the way we fetishize 'knowledge work' to the point where other forms of labor get shafted and where time in the office occupies a disproportionate share of our lives.

Determine a fair price and offer it. Not that hard.

I have these and so I will second this. I sized down 1 full size from my normal dress shoe size. They are extremely comfortable and I am coming up on having had them for 2 years (in about a month) and they have held up really well. Cheaper slippers that I had in the past were always trashed within a couple months. These still feel nice and cozy. And fuck slippers that don't surround your ankles, those are bullshit. I want my whole foot to be warm, thankyouverymuch.

He is a good friend. There will be no games. That being said, I got some PMs, and I have a better handle now on what the "market" is and what a proper asking price should be. Thanks for the helps, guys.

A we are both of the Jewish, it would have to be a Hannukah present. In any case, that is also an option.

Armani still put out some seriously nice stuff. Picked up a fairly weird jacket in a private sale at a good price, but they had a lot of good stuff in the collection this year.

I wish my mother told me when I was a kid that the fastest way to make friends was to sell a SS coat.

Stitches - If the guy's your friend and if you don't want the coat, then just offer it to him for the price that you paid (including shipping costs), plus a max of 5%.

Frankly, if you ask him to pay any more than that, then he may be your friend, but you're not his friend.
