Soooo I am gonna be in London for the next 2 weeks. Any food, shopping or art recs?

Don't miss Dover Street Market. Browns is good. Selfridges. Those are the big names. Stuff is expensive in the UK though.

what are you cosplaying as?

I always go to these things as a vague networking event so i don't dress up. TBH i'm probably just going to get stoned and spend most of my time in the tabletop area.

If i had the opportunity I'd probably do Finn though--I have the hat and could easily get the sword. I'm kind of sad but my robin costume from SDCC '09 is wayyyyy too tight now.

at first i thought it was weird that people dress up but it's just an accepted thing that people do at these things and it's kinda fun.

at least, for comic conventions, i've never been to PAX.

I would love to go to pax. I have been reading PA since, like, 99 I think. It's crazy how it's grown.

i'll let you know how it is.

networking for what?

mostly applies to comic conventions b/c i've worked at some comic companies/have friends in the industry and so now i go to maintain the connections. But like, you never know who you're gonna meet at these things so I like to not look like a fanboy generally.

Re. unstructured/EG-ish blazers, tried on this Edwin one day, made of japanese denim, quite nice

Also, if I recall correctly there was someone who had expressed interest in the blue see-through dries-knit(that snow posted a fit with) but it cost quite a bit, so figured I'd share this slouchy similar weekday one

It's way more "normal"-looking than the dries one (tigther weave, darker blue, more normal fit) but it looks really good and slouchy in person

We see a lot of that here. PAX prime is here, Sakura-Con is in a week from now, Comicon also here. It is fun to see people dressed up and doing their dork thing. Everyone is in a great mood. I can see no downside to it.
