1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Since I'm new to this, I would like to know why you think this would have been such a big faux-pas? Could you elaborate?

Does anyone know if you have to pay customs/duties if you order from Hervia (to the US)? Just bought a pair of Geobaskets from them and was hoping I don't get a bill in the mail later.

I've narrowed it down to an isp issue, an actual site it redirects to does not load for me and only me. There is no firewall or network hindrances so I'm just assuming twc is the culprit. I just ordered the shit on my phone anyway but still working on troubleshooting.

Hey, can you guys tell me anything about this Comme des Garcons Homme piece I received from a most excellent thrift bro? (PS: Thanks, thrift bro :fistbump:)

I've tried Google and wikipedia, tried to locate a main CDG thread here, etc. Nothing. I can't even tell if the line is still active. Anyway, the tags are faded, scrawled in Japanese. The material feels like a slubby linen blend. Cut-out elbows, flat MOPs. Ominousness, billowed. Fits oversized, but the sleeves are good for my short arms, and the buttons end at the right spot, so I'm not sure if it's an overshirt or what. Any deets -- age, type of garment, desinged by JW(?), what to pair with, etc. -- appreciated.

cdgh is the men's line produced for the japanese market. it has been designed by junya + team since the late 1980s. i don't recall having seen a silver label before. from the cut of the shirt, though, i'd guess it is quite old-- perhaps late 80s or early 90s.

So cdgh is designed by junya+team for the japanese market, while cdgh+ is designed by rei+team for the global market? Are those the main differences?

Stumptown coffee and hipster food. And a half dozen bottles of good scotch.

Thanks, ghost. I guess that would explain the better-fitting sleeves. :D

Hopefully, the shirt will be enough to imbue me with the power of The Shah, though with my luck, I'll probably just end up in the colder vicinities of Miran.

that's my understanding. i haven't noticed any difference in terms of quality. fit varies by season for both lines (in general, the earlier garments were looser/boxier).

unless synthese is jumping out of a giant cruller, i don't see the point.

(will still try to stop by, though.)

Reasons include good loot and free food and drinks. So, essentially, the things for which I live. I will try to get regular drillers.

I'm looking for a dress(ier) boot that can handle a decent weather beating (snow, slush, rain). I'm picturing a Commando/Vibram sole, storm welt, scotch grain (or some type of tougher leather) in a mid-brown wingtip under $500. Haven't had any luck. Any suggestions?
