1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Googled around and found this, they offer tax refunds for online purchases, so you should essentially be able to send the needed info and then get your money refunded.

It would be illegal to collect VAT and not pass it on to the Inland Revenue. But I don't know the situation if the VAT isn't actually due. I've got an idea they just pocket it.

I stopped using Goodhood because they refused to stop charging unnecessary VAT.

It's fairly easy, as on your at form you fill out online, you just tell how much you have shipped out if the eu and get a refund, so it's not that big of a hassle.

So there's two option 1 they are pocketing the profit or 2 they don't know how to fill out a tax form.

so is anyone amused by the fact that although everyone posts fit pics with faces blurred out to protect their identity, as soon as you buy from or sell something to a fellow poster, they'll know your name and address which is way more than what most people on the internet know of you.

I don't blur my face to protect my identity, I blur my face because I look stupid.

Honestly i think in a lot of cases it's just because they have a goofy expression or not great hair (or lazy facial hair) or any number of reasons why it's easier to obscure the face/head rather than do more retakes. But hey... amusement is always in short supply so take it where you can find it!
