1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I really like the idea of paying $50 to be stoked again and again.

LOL. Just completely out of touch. Not to mention the whole U2 album being on everyone's iTunes. You know, cuz everyone likes U2.

Yes, even though Verizon tried to kill it with their proprietary version.

Going to listen to the news for another week or two on the results before committing to a leather case for my 5.

I don't know if I can make this any more clear than I already have, but a revamp of the b&s platform is just not on the table. It's not something that I can get done, period. It really doesn't matter what I think tbh. Apart from the new filters, only community management solutions are really on the table for the foreseeable future.

Actually, in this segmented market, it is the biggest band. Just saying.

I've had a 5-6 year old LG cosmos non smart phone for as long as I can remember. I tell people I have ethical concerns regarding smartphone companies' worker conditions and mineral sources but really I'm just too lazy to switch and I hate people who stare at their phones during conversation.

I can't yet say for sure they're a confirmed scammer, but I PMed them ~20 hours ago asking if they had any clue why Paypal was holding my funds and I haven't heard back. The geos were delivered to them today, and although I tried doing a transit intercept to have the package returned to me en route that function was down on the USPS site. I called Paypal and was told they will likely eat the charge and return my money to me, but googling similar situations from other sellers leads me to believe otherwise. I guess we'll see.

Either way, I'm done with Grailed. The community seems to have a high proportion of shitheads. First I had multiple people PM me asking me to take new photos of the brand new in-box geos I had listed, even though my listing already included seven high-res DSLR photos of my own (similar to the ones in the listing in my sig) and about ten more photos from various retailers and blogs online. After taking and sending new photos I never heard from any of them again. Then, on my first sale on the site, I got scammed for the first time in the decade or so I've been buying and selling things online.

That's nothing, I went phone free, since the first iPhone came out. I relied strictly on email and facebook to get in contact with people, but now I'm finally going to conform...

BBSLM- That sucks man, I hope Paypal can rectify the situation for you.

I've had similar situations happen on grailed as well, especially with low ball offers. Not to say I don't get my fair share here or on ebay but it seems to be a tad worse there.

what's your guys experience with ordering pieces off rakuten? cause I see some pieces that are pretty damn cheap and listed as C/D quality but I usually cant find anything off in the pictures and the descriptions are pretty vague

Rakuten is a marketplace of individual stores and sellers, so it's impossible to judge really. It's typically safe, though.

    Thanks, me too.

I actually heard from the buyer a few minutes after my last post - they said they'd look into it and apologized for the inconvenience, which doesn't mean they're not a scammer, but I'll wait for to see what Paypal decides.

I don't even mind the low-ballers on ebay and Grailed (can't hurt to try I guess), and have no problem answering questions (especially when we're talking $500+ items), but asking for specific pictures with your username next to an item for proof that the seller actually has it kind of implies that you're ready to buy. If you're just making people do leg work because you have nothing better to do you can fuck right off.
