1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Fok on behalf of the entire Styleforum team

Have you ever realized that most of the users on this forum are men? Styleforum is about men's style. If I were you, I would try purseforum. :)

I've done this more than once. I like San Diego, but compared to LA, it seems to be a wasteland for eating and shopping, fish tacos and a handful of restaurants in La Jolla excepted. Not sure why. Maybe the proximity to LA, and the difference in consumtion patterns makes it unprofitable for high end retail, but don't people like to eat? It's been a while since I've been, though. Maybe it's changed in the past few years.

Tons of good places to eat and drink here, though it's not LA, San Francisco, or Portland. Definite shopping wasteland. Haven't walked into a store here in 10yrs.

Like Fok said, the fish tacos are generally good around here.

It's nice to pull something out of your closet that you haven't worn in years and re-discover that it looks great.

In my case, a pair of Unis green chinos - and I stopped wearing chinos a long time ago - but they fit great and are nicely worn-in. Put them on with a pair of sneakers and a NdG short-sleeve.

But I live in jeans, shirts, biker jackets and boots!

Purse Forum is all about stiletto heels, handbags and dresses!

Besides, I've made some great online friends on SF and I really enjoy it, particularly the jeans threads:)

    Thanks, 4est. :slayer:

Soon I will be traveling to the 1980s, and those new Eytys will be a good step toward blending in.

went to a restaurant to get an ice cream sundae. Lady brought me out a bowl of nearly completely melted ice cream, no whip cream

I wish i had not tipped her or even paid that shit hole restaurant. I mean goddamn i had had a long ass day since i was over night and all i wanted was a stupid sundae.

Didnt even bother to bring it out in one of those cool flutes. Just a bowl. :fu:

I thought you were an advocate against tipping for shitty service?

I was going by the SF policy of not being a dick since I thought people made good arguments for why you should tip and stuff. Having tried it I now I just feel like a sucker.

Well, you can still complain about the quality of the food. It's easy enough to say "Um, it looks like this sat on the serving station a bit too long? Could you please bring me another? Also, I would like whipped cream on it." You can make legitimate complaints wihtout being a dick about it. That was a kitchen issue, and it's well within reason to ask your server to solve the issue for you.

Yeah. You are right. I just was too tired to argue and just ate my slop and went home and to bed, :embar:
