1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Probably late on this but aparently Madrid's 3rd kit was designed by Yohji.

Not sure how I feel about this...

I am new to fĂștbol (aka I just watch the world cup) and I've never understood why the teams name is so small while huge advertisements cover the jerseys?

When you pay $40 million a year you want your logo as visible as possible.

Yes it is just about $. Manchester United just signed a 10yr deal with Adidas worth $1.3 billion guaranteed money, so the money is not small.

With what the players etc. get paid, they need to rake in some serious cash and people tend to know who's playing, so a giant club logo would be silly.

I know the nba and nfl do it

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but niether the NBA or the NFL permit corporate logos on their jerseys, save for a small one for the manufacturer of the jersey.

Now if we're talking about the coaches headphones, that's an entirely different matter.

Soccer teams have a large team sponsors logo and a small team crest on their jerseys, where NBA has, their own team logo and no sponsors.

NBA is quietly moving toward this. Probably will add small sponsor logos within the next couple of years.

I hope they don't do the sleeved jerseys for more space for ads. So ugly

They really need to stop getting 6' tall models to model something made for a 5'4" person.
