1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Im sorry that happened.. Can you make insurance claim for lost property or are they just gone for good? One thing I really liked about living in Korea was I could leave stuff inside a car without worrying about car broken into ($2000 just for repair) and get things stolen.

Man, I guess I have it lucky living in Japan. I've forgotten the keys in my car (usually sitting on the dash or the seat) with the doors unlocked in busy areas more times that I can remember, never had anything stolen.

Lol. If you decide to not follow the rules in b&s, and get dinged, arguing about it is unlikely to make me sympathetic. Read our rules and Layman's ToS.

I'd say true to size. Tried on a couple of pairs last year in a store that had them at 80% off. Unfortunately they were too big in the heel for me and when I went down one size they got too tight in the front.

In the secured underground parking lot of the marriott. The entire thing was caught on camera. My insurance deductible is $300, but doesn't cover any stolen items.

Come on, man! You can't make a post like that and not at least give us a summary of the story.

Might your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy cover any stolen property?

Went for a hike in Griffith Park this morning. Wore a uniqlo polo and shorts with new balance sneakers. Got home, decided we'd go to the café a block away with our dog. I take the sneakers off and for a second consider putting my GATs on, but then figured, oh what the hell, it's just the café down the street, I'll just wear flip-flops. So I throw the flip-flops on, we walk a block down Broadway to Il Caffe (inside the Eastern Columbia building and attached to the new Acne store), and it was then that two ladies from Japanese magazine "Men's Non No" come up to me and ask to take my photo (along with the dog of course).

I have let you down, styleforum. I beg your forgiveness.

Oh, no biggie. Some guy on B&S had a surcharge for Paypal payments, (+4% for Paypal fees), which is a clear violation of the B&S rules, which state that your listings may not infringe the ToS of third party websites. We dinged him for $500, and now he is crying bloody murder, that we are trying to extort him, whatever. Essentially, he wants to get out of paying the fine, when it's obvious from his listing that he has been pulling this shit for a while now, under the radar.

Also, if you pay as a gift, you cannot report a fraudulent transaction to Paypal. They might get rid of the seller, but they will probably take action against your account as well. Essentially, you are telling them "I want your protections, but want to use the service for free." Clearly, this breaks the laws of business physics, which is simply "You never get something for nothing."

That's true. It's easy enough to follow the rules though. The dude has been around for awhile. You'd think that sometime in 3+ years, you could be bothered to read 1 pages of rules, especially when you are making sales using someone else's website, for free.

Styleforum rules are really pretty simple in principle: Don't do things on the website that could cost us money (so, posting porn is a no-no, since adsense and other ad networks will pull their services if they find it), and don't do things on the website that could cause us a huge hassle. This is the reason for most, of not all, of the B&S rules. Essentially, before posting anything dumb, the thought that should go through your mind is "Does this have the potential to make Fok's morning a pain in the ass?" If the answer is yes, smart money says that you probably shouldn't post it.
