There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the shoes vans, meaning plural, meaning more than 1 thing

unless you are really asking if the brand vans in general is considered cool to some people irl, and to that I would have to say a definite. yes.

it's ok to make grammatical mistakes on the internet, just don't get booty hurt about it

Nah his usage was technically correct, though perhaps unusual. Anyway, correcting people's language on the internet = uncool; Vans = cool.

Yeah I admit it's a bit unusual since I'm not an English native.

Anyway my vans comment was obviously tongue in cheek. some of my best friends love vans. I just think they (vans) are juvenile.

I have a lot of Margiela and CP. I appreciate the quality, design, materials, longevity, workmanship and the inherent ridiculousness exclusivity that comes with wearing a $500 pair of sneakers.

Growing up in the 1980s I always wanted a pair of Vans. Never got one for whatever reason (Catholic school dress codes and all). So I never developed a connection to them.

Now I'm a bit older and I'd rather buy one pair of shoes that will last five or more years than one that I have to replace in two.

These are ugly, you wouldn't even be thinking of wearing slippers if it wasn't for Céline and that is true even if you don't know Céline made some.

Meaning I disagree that they're ugly, not regarding Céline.

MMMs will last that much longer with the same wear? I doubt this. Bands slip ons are like 40 bucks, so the lasting argument is a bit moot.

They'll definitely last longer. Also, vans may "last" for a year of wear, but they'll look really beat up after a month or two. That's fine if it's what you want, but considering he wears SLP everything he probably wants new-looking shoes.

I don't like seeing a relatively heavy material on something that, by design, evoke airiness and summer days. Vans have made the right design choice from the start and everything else just messes with the original in a way that would make zombie Dieter Ram come back from the grave to bite people on the ankle

Ah, I feel like vans are a summer rite of passage shoe. If they're destroyed by the end of the fall, then that means you probably had a good time.
