more fashun gems from style guru myk7000:

You guys are vicious

The writing is horrific, but I don't think that the outfits themselves are terrible. Not great, but not terrible. A lot of us probably wear similar stuff, regularly - just slightly different brands, colors, silhouettes, etc... However, none of it is really not blogworthy. Few people have enough have enough style to really sustain a blog. That's the reason that bloggers go around looking for cool outfits. I wouldn't post my daily outfits except maybe on WAYWT. If it was just one after another of my outfits, people would quickly bore of "cardigan with jeans today. Decided on the chukka sneakers, went with the melton wool jacket.", and "Woot, decided that it was a day for my jersey jacket/cardigan. Chukkas again. Decided to top that off with a scarf and hat." rinse and repeat, day after day.

It works better as part of a larger WAYWT continuum, though the outfits themselves would be deep in the pack, and not really be standouts, on any given day.

I can't wait to be a real gent!

The problem with most of these guys is that they write without any sense of the absurd, without any real humor. Fashion is theater, and mostly comedy.

Went to Lululemon to get a yoga mat (wound up getting the "un-mat," smash); the sales associate answering my questions about the different options couldn't take her eyes off the ToJ.
Is there any other article of clothing as single-handedly impressive as a good leather jacket?

Shoes and watches (and for some reason my OP sunglasses get a lot of comments.)

Most fashun bloggers lack any sense of irony and self insight.

she is lying on a bespoke dog bed made of an old quilt, a bunch of random pillows and a foam mattress topper we had in our apartment. (tm)

Cute dog teger

I think "this item will get you more attention from women" is more marketing/gqbrainwashing than reality.

Are you buying them in-person or online, as I've found it's definitely one of those brands that you want to know beforehand how it will fit. IME, I've found them to be too short for tall people and pretty tight. Would size up if the length is right for you.

Thanks might skip it then. Don't think there's any stockists near me.

Having to purchase Christmas gifts and other non-clothing related items this month has left me sadly kop-less this sale season. On one hand, it feels sort of good not to further add to my closet, but I'm also craving two things quite badly that I don't believe I'll be able to purchase until mid-next month at the earliest if they're even still around by then. Bummer.

I agree with this. "Attention from women" stuff aside, I just like to imagine what sort of item would be the best stand-out piece—kind of like having those pointless (but nonetheless entertaining) conversations about which athlete from which sport is the "ultimate" athlete. There's no answer of course, but the point is that people usually wind up saying some fairly interesting things as they break down why they do or do not support position x or y.

I'll give you ultimate. Go home with your silly watches and leather jackets children, let the real men show you how it's done.

What was the name of that black/grey blazer with a zipper on the lapels?
Found a plebe-copy, but figured I should atleast do some research and see if I can find the real deal in my size before deciding to maybe get the copy
