1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Sister-in-law is a doctor and she said one of her first ever shifts in the OR(?) was someone with a degloving injury. They cut a "pocket" into your abdomen, stick your hand in there, and then cut your hand out when it heals. With a foot, they sew it to your ass. I don't recommend google image searching this btw...

Can someone explain how Yoox takes garment photos mannequin-less but look draped on a mannequin?

I'm trying to think of reasons someone would need a foot sewn onto their ass, but I'm coming up short. What is degloving? :uhoh:

One of my uncle's first shifts in med school was a guy who came in with a full bathroom door sticking out of his ass. Good times.

There are many better multi-brand designer stores in Florence. One is about a block down via Roma.

As far as I understood, the skin on an appendage is totally removed in a degloving incident. Degloving is exactly what it sounds like, but with skin instead of a glove. A ring will pull skin off a finger if it gets caught on/in something, for example.

Hands and feet are too complicated for skin grafts, so they sew them into the body and skin eventually attaches to the appendage. They cut out the hand/foot and tada, the skin is now attached. It heals better on the abdomen/ass because there's a relative surplus of skin there? I'm not a doctor, but I think that's the gist. Pretty gross stuff.

    RFT, gentlemen.

Degloving = skin torn off the body

I've heard stories from doctor friends about men who've degloved themselves by misusing vacuum cleaners.:uhoh:

I've worked with an electrician a couple of times who lost his ring finger because he jumped down off of a piece of equipment and his ring caught on a corner or something, popped the whole finger right off.

I've worked with a guy with a similar injury. I used to build cabinets for a living. A former coworker of mine tattooed a wedding band on his finger because it's kinda dumb to wear a ring and run shit through a tablesaw all day.

I put a 3" nail through my hand once. Don't work with my hands anymore.

I really want a Paul Harnden jacket but PH prices are so uncool. Kicking myself that I missed out on the SIlent farmers jacket a while ago on b&s.

Please talk me out of spending $1000+ on a jacket (that apparently isn't even well constructed).
