1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

should I topy/vibram my yang li boots? I know it's standard protocol for guidi et al, but not sure if that extends to "dressier" boots

also holy crap these things are gorgeous, any idea who makes them? made in spain -- my only guess based on high-end manufacturers in spain would be carmina..

Not sure to be honest, depends if people snowboard or ski, but I don't think they're that popular compared to the likes of Burton. I just want Norrona everything but it costs serious £££.

I have one of their coats or I've had three the zipper broke on the first two, so they were replaced on warranty.

Tamarack Outdoor has 15%+ off from time to time.

So are you guys saying I should topy my Guidis and MMMs? Because if so, I should definitely do that before I put any more wear onto those soles

I think in general you should topy mmm and guidi both to protect against wear and maybe water/snow. But the cobbler typically shaves off a bit of the sole before putting on the topy anyways, so you can wear it a bit (but not too much) before adding it. Some people like to say 'topied/vibrammed from day 1' but I don't think that's a big deal.

Topy increases the longevity A LOT, atleast when you're dealing with shitty weather (ie swedish winter)

It's just common sense. Would you rather replace a $50 piece of rubber when it wears down or your $800 boots/shoes...

No, it's more of a rubber sole covering. Increases traction for leather soles and longetivity

When I got mine topied, they did the front but not the heel. I'm assuming because you can just get the heel replaced.

Also thanks for the advice re: ID bracelet. Worked perfectly.
