There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My tux doesn't fit quite right anymore and it might be a suitable + affordable replacement.

Can't sleep. Someone who needs a work briefcase needs to buy that la Portegna from a certain forum affiliate ASAP.

was looking at it along with the leather porter and calabrese but ended up getting a moore & giles briefcase instead, really wanted to get it from nmwa but I hate gold tone hardware (porter), calabrese seemed a bit too wide (5") and not fond of pigskin interior, and the portegna seems not wide enough (2") and no way to add a shoulder strap so had to pass.
I couldnt find much fb on m&g here but it looks pretty nice and versatile so have to wait and see how it holds up when it arrives

Speaking of briefcases, anybody have a recommendation for a non-baller laptop case that looks less terrible than the average eyesore the IT department hands you when they issue you your computer?

Needs both a shoulder strap and a handle. I don't particularly care about the material as long as there won't be any dye or wax transfer onto clothing. Bonus if it's one of the ones where you don't have to remove the computer when you go through airport security, but that isn't absolutely essential.

I'd always counted Filson out as a possibility because all of the buckles and straps look really obnoxious to deal with - I can't picture having to pack up my laptop and get off the train quickly when I have four things to buckle before I can pick it up - but the laptop briefcase looks like a possible contender. The strap looks incredibly uncomfortable, though. I'll have to look around for something wider and more padded to potentially swap it out for.

Does anyone know about how heavy they are? The Filson web site doesn't say.

It's a lot heavier than a typical nylon or canvas bag. Strap is ok I used to carry 15 pounds when teaching with strap and didn't really have any issues. Not as comfy as a padded strap but not bad

And buckles and stuff technically you don't need to buckle any of them I never did and never zipped neither and nothing fell out

Filsons are heavy and really uncomfortable imo.

Maybe something from Mismo or Porter? If you don't need to carry a ton of stuff get something really light and comfortable to wear. I used a Filson briefcase for a few years b/c I had to carry a full day's worth of stuff to work (laptop, stationary, lunch, etc) and my neck would kill during the commute and it would rumple up the shoulders of my jackets + shirts

Thanks, good to know. I have some back/neck problems, so lighter is better for me. I'll take a look at Mismo and Porter, maybe shelve the Filson idea for the time being.
