1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

so, I think I need to pick a new name for my interviews. I've been doing 'a conversation with...', but I think it needs to include the word 'interview' just to be google friendly. as sf is full of creative geniuses, who has some good ideas? I was thinking 'StyleForum Interviews...'

If anyone is looking for a good new TV drama, they should check out the French series Les Revenants (The Returned), very similar feel to Twin Peaks or Top of the Lake (which I'll be watching next)

Top of the Lake is pretty good and beautifully shot (especially the penultimate episode) but it's not exactly riveting television (although there's a couple of pretty tense sequences). The show main motivation is to examine the dynamics of the close-knit remote community where the story takes place and the police investigation plot is more or less used as a pretext to do that (as a result the story goes round in circles and nothing really happens until the last episodes, there's also a whole subplot that's pretty useless and grating).

After putting up sales threads, I noticed my fascination with suede... :)

Speaking of shows, what are some with really good cinematography? Sherlock Holmes ( the british one) was pretty good in terms of actual shots and same with Misfits.

Edit: Hannibal is great as well :O, checking out utopia now thanks!

Utopia from last year had top notch cinematography, great use of colors and music, plus a bit of the old ultraviolence. Check it out!
