1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't "blanch" at the income; for someone my age and with no post-secondary schooling I make a lot of money, and I'm aware of my privilege. It's just shocking to me people can talk about it as if it's really nothing at all; maybe it's the fact that I'm 25 and almost all of my friends are broke students ...

google analytics uses NLP to determine their (estimated) income, which is what i assume SF uses

I'm just wondering what data they use to make that estimate.

Of course google already reads my gmail... and my offer letter came to my gmail... so umm... I'll assume google knows all :(

Yeah, context does matter. I work in a field (engineering) where if you're not making $100k+ by the time you're 35, you really fucked up somewhere along the line. And I work in an office where I'm one of the few people who doesn't make $100k+ (probably will next year though). So it seems a bit more normal to me. Don't get me wrong though, I think it's still a lot of money - when the day comes that I have my student loans paid off ($850/month :() and I'm still pulling in that kind of money, I dunno what the fuck I'll do with all of it.

I struggle finding decent short-sleeve henleys, but the Scheisser one I have is pretty nice. Merz B Schwanen is probably nicer and a little more interesting, but definitely higher dollar and the fits are kind of all over the place. I like Homespun, but I've only found one that fits me really well. I believe we're both in similar tall & lanky territory, so finding a henley that's both trim enough to layer over and long enough can be kind of a hassle.

Let me know if you find the perfect one. :)

Oh, and congrats on the engagement!

Since we're talking about demographics :)inlove:), do you (or does Huddler) use Neustar AdAdvisor or PageAdvisor?

Broke student is a transient state. It's not a state of poverty, it's generally a chrysalis state before people start to earn.

And a college degree is a huge thing. So, you would be the exception. The dropoff in income between those who have a college education and those who do not, is enormous. You can see from census numbers that it dwarfs all other factors.

There is real poverty. But it's not on Styleforum, for the most part, and for the most obvious reasons.

It's either that, or everyone can judge one another secretly. We're not English.

Anyone know how Gazzarrini knitwear fits? I'm looking at a size M wool turtleneck, don't want it slim but don't want it to fit like a bag either
