1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I've always disliked peacoats (and pretty much anything double breasted).

Oh and big thanks to nahneun, finally tested out that new cuckoo, was a bit of a pain in the ass to source and pretty expensive for a rice cooker but god damn! shit cooks fast, every single grain comes out perfect and leftover rice stays warm and soft overnight without issue.
    Thanks again for that recommendation.

Oh, in the background? That's just an advertiser site skin. They pay the $$$ (well, more like $) so that I can keep this place running reasonably.

    Cheers,

I think that they can be sorta cool, though yeah, not a huge fan of the traditional blue at this point. But I think that some designers like McQueen do a good job of getting that Keith Richards circa Rock and Roll Circus look down pretty well. There is a picture in the archives somewhere of him walking, with this cinched peacoat, hands in his pockets, walking, and he has these incredible flares and picklewinkers. Such an awesome look for him.

Received my first law school acceptance email this morning! In at Notre Dame with a (yet to be determined) scholarship!

Interviewed with Georgetown yesterday, but I've really got my sights set on Michigan

NYT articles about Paris are such smh-factories, the final column from their last 2 departing bureau chiefs being good examples. Talk about judging things from an ivory tower...

Yeah, I was thinking of that one too. Actually, wasn't there a Paris bureau chief leaving NYC who wrote something similar at the same time? Might have been someone from London.

    I quit smoking yesterday.

Just thought I'd mention it for motivation... don't want to have to admit failure.

Yeah, the forum it self got a whole lot narrower and the bottom half of the page, is completely white, which looks sort of weird.

As a european the ad, is completely pointless to me, as I have no way of getting there (besides flying 16hours).

ugh won some nice MOMA boots on eBay and paid for them, now the seller messages me to ask me to cancel the transaction because he is in Paris and accidentally listed them internationally instead of EU-only (shipping would be about $100, I guess). Does anybody know a way to ship with tracking from Paris to Albuquerque that is not FedEx or UPS? I know you can ship Express from the US but I am not sure what the French mail equivalent of that is.
