RFT:

I think this summer taught me that wearing any kind of pants, shirts, shoes during the summer sucks major ass. Unless you are locked up in an air-conditioned box 9AM - 6PM.

Next summer I'm just going to wear loose white/black shorts with a drop and a white hooded pullover. Sandals or high tops. I think having a deep hood and long sleeves will go a long way to protect me from the sun without having to apply as much sunscreen when I'm running around town. Seriously, it's way more stylish when your clothing fits your environment and keeps you comfortable. If you're from the southwest there is no shame in incorporating desert people clothing, **** will work.

Here's the Yoox article in the New Yorker if anyone's interested. Words are a bit small cause I couldn't split the actual pdf so had to use jpegs.

Are hightops and hooded tops really a good idea in the summer if you live in the Southwest?

Going to cop a couple of jackets soon.

Avoiding exposure to the sun is probably the best thing you can do to avoid skin damage and aging. I have until next summer to find something that'll stay cool. I like this but would like the pullover white instead.

Shorts and high tops look terrible if you're vertically challenged though

Not really. If you're squat andor have thick legs then ya prob....but if you have slim proportions or aren't bottom heavy it shouldn't look bad

Oh, and re: the mafia thing, I did a quick google search and found this article. Here's an excerpt:
Of course, it's super vague and leaves out all the statistics you'd otherwise want, but it's interesting stuff.

super vague and super short, as if there was a reason why.

Spend the next 6-8 months getting a good body and your issues with summer will go away entirely.
