1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

it was, but more of a tangent (hence freddy); i have a vague memory of a monster i thought was from HL that had a big bazooka in place of one arm and maybe just a stump on the other, that's what i was really looking for, but i was too impatient to search very long

I could probably order a ToJ right now. I just have no idea what to get. Head. Hurts. Muchhhhhhhhh. Spope and Synth have rec'd either the A-2 or the CWU, but I'm stupid and can't make a decision.

no reason to fret, it's just a jacket. I think this mto stuff freaks people out because there's all these combinations you're letting go. If you do the workboots/raw denim look, I'd do the A2. I see the CWU looking better with more sleek outfits. Just pick one before you cant

You don't even need to know! You can just send them money and work it out later.

    This is interesting.

Dunno if it's an EMS thing, but whenever I've had stuff sent over $1,000 AUD to Australia via EMS, I've never had it stopped at customs or any additional fees applied.

Though when I had stuff shipped to the UK, I got slapped with a customs fee no matter what the sender or the value - well if it was over £30.

The website says they were considering suspending production on 'em, but there's nothing concrete written down that I could find saying they weren't taking any more A-2 or CWU orders. I'll check the thread again though now that you mention it. Fwiw, they're both still up in the "available products" page.

It was merged with the Alden-thread when someone asked whether to get his nephew the white or black achilles.

booo. so to bring the customs discussion to a close, if I were to have a $450 jacket imported from Japan, would it be cheaper to have the store ship via EMS directly and pay customs, or use a proxy and pay little to no customs but still pay all the fees associated with the proxy? For some reason I feel the total would be roughly the same.

Depends on your country's import tax, honestly. In Canada, customs for clothes can reach 50% of the item value.
