So in my office there are now 5 girls who have purchased and are wearing uggs on casual fridays.

I said to one of them on my way to lunch, "what is with you guys and uggs?" and she goes they're comfortable!

I'm more surprised by the admission that jet actually works for a living.

Sorry dude, I got you beat. My son, wife, and I all have natural tan bracelets, and my wife and I have the black ones as well. Got a Hickey wool sweatshirt. Love that casual look and feel.
Actually I think you're part of the reason I finally decided to get one. Got another cool chainlink leather bracelet in a small shop as well today. And a belt. Plus a couple knits. I'm such a fucking impulse buyer it hurts.

he is, he is just buying up his own collection so it is worth more and then he can work less when he slowly sells it all

The groupthinking here is becoming a bit to much.
Xeno posts a fit and everyone starts their usual circlejerk and haul it to hell.
Then Whodini comes in, tells people that they are doing just that and now we have a whole page of positive comments.
    You guys..

I think it's just that most people are too scared to put forward their opinion unless somebody else does first.

It's not SF groupthink specifically, it's just general group mentality. People have come to accept that it's okay to do certain things, like call Uncontrol a fag or tell Xenox to STFU, thinking that the mods and senior members think it's cool, even though its not.

I don't read the WAYWT discussion thread because it depresses me to think that this forum, which was once considered to be much more informative, friendly and interesting than the MC forum, is now full of blind teenagers leading other blind teenagers. Constructive criticism has gone out in favor of homophobic flames, humor has gone out in favor of vitriol, and here's the real kicker: lots of stylish people don't want to post their fits, most likely because they don't want to be a part of that wretched shithole.

    /rant off.

^I agree completely. I think there aren't many threads worth reading these days for that very fact.

Maybe we need a WAYWT Shit-talking Thread.

^ I browsed the waywt thread from three years ago and I was really hit by this. There were more great posters, some of the old-timers were still experimenting with their looks, it was a lot more diverse, and the overall tenor was a lot friendlier.

Bad WAYWTs are insulting to many members that look there. Its pathetic how the dogpile stacks. I hope this changes as WAYWT's are the best way for a newb to see different styles.

^ever notice how it's not the guys who regularly post WAYWTs that have some sense of style who pile on the insults?
