1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Nice.
Gonna visit London in two weeks and plan to go there. Was in London last summer to but didn't book a visit so I missed it. Top priority this time.
Any problems with the booking? Did you actually buy anything? I would feel bad coming there and walking out empty handed (like I pretty much always do checking clothes IRL nowadays).

So an LN-CC visit is by appointment only?

Also, anybody have any success getting a response from Atelier by inquiry link on their website? I've used that feature a handful of times now and never got a response.

    No problems with booking.
I actually bought a pair of headphones and a photography-book while there, but in no way because I felt obligated to. It was more that I wanted something to remember from the place since you're not allowed to take photos, and I also wanted an upgrade from my cheap apple ones, and the book had some pretty awesome photos.
But like, even if you don't buy anything don't feel bad. Their main source of revenue is still the website (I think it was something like 11 million last year?) and the store is, as my "guide" said: "more of a platform for the concep"t (of ln-cc)+ that it's purposely nearly impossible to find the store + really cool people working there = no feel of obligation to buy stuff :)

    yep

Anyone ever tried having epaulets removed from a jacket? Is this easy or even possible for your average tailor to do?

    Edit:

They have opened two shops in Covent Garden (Earlham street) as well.

Their old shop on Rivington st. was a hole in the wall full of design books. :slayer:

What's the material of the jacket? If cotton or wool, probably. If leather, probably not.

Also does the epaulet button to the jacket itself, or is the button attached to another piece of material that is sewn onto the jacket. If the former, probably not. If the latter, probably.
