1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I live in the Chicago area, which is a distinction my city friends really stress since I live in the western 'burbs. I should be around all summer (at least until August/September when I'll try to move back to Boston), so I'd definitely be down for a Chicago meetup. (Spooooope, forget going to Alaska; come to Chicago dude!)

Oh, and what's the Margiela knit? Slash is it a size M or L? Cause I might want it. :embar:

Yup, it was over by the Wormhole.
Hahah it's alright though, I was dressed fairly lazily as well.
Let us know when you come back in July so we can hang around of course.

@who: I had no idea you lived in Illinois as well. Meet-up with the three of us is inevitable.

For that money, you can get some fantastic cans, if you're willing to look at a used pair.

There's so many options and characteristics of different headphones that it's impossible to rec a pair unless we know what you're looking for.

Is it a portable closed pair for every day use with the ipod or do you want the absolute best sound quality and immersion for home listening? Do you like a "fun" or analytical sound? Do you consider yourself somewhat knowledgable about sound or not?

so if my package is "inbound into customs" what does that mean? delays? do I have to pay? shipped to and from canada a few times as well as denmark and europe and never had a problem with customs but this package was sent from canada to the us and it says its being sent to customs

anything incoming from another country usually has to go through customs first.

alright, thanks. I don't recall ever seeing anything about customs with my other packages so I was just wondering if I should be worried

"Inbound into customs" just means customs has not cleared it yet. If they are going to charge you, they will send you a notice. Once it clears, it will say "Inbound out of customs".

This has happened with every international item I have sent/received via regular post.

OK question: When did the fit of the MMM 5-Zip change from somewhat boxy to more slim fitted? When did the quality decrease?

I'm looking to buy someone's 2005 black calf 5-zip, but it's a 46. Would that work for a slim 48? Would it be too cropped or too tight?

Speaking of acquisitions, back when Theory bought Helmut Lang from Prada apparently it was widely rumored that Plokhov was being recruited to to take the helm (pun, sorry). I wonder if he's the designer who's now being tapped to lead the HL menswear relaunch. Could be interesting. Of the sz-approved group, he's one of the few I see fitting well.

So everything 2003-on is slim TTS?

And can't behind something too cropped, at 5'11" with longish arms it'd just look comical.

I just don't see why he'd want to take the nearly thankless task of taking over HL, when his own line has proven moderately successful anyway.

    Nothing to gain from it.
