1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

To me, this feels like a throwback to the 90's in a lot of ways. It's like I'm watching a Breeders video or something.

Also, isn't this kind of advertising pretty much antithetical to the ethos that the label started out with? Granted, they've been on this road for at least a few years now...

Random ebay thought: I made a BIN offer of $50 on an item, and the seller declined, saying that they wouldn't take it off the market given the current bidding price of $35. The auction ended today at $36. The seller must feel like a right ninny now, and having paid $14 less than I offered, I almost feel a little bad for him/her.

    That's awesome.

This is pretty much why all my auctions' starting price is what I want to sell the item for anyways.

It was posted on the brand's tumblr so I doubt it's a big thing but, yeah, MMM now has a tumblr and lots of little PR initiatives that you wouldn't have seen before. They also use linings with "Martin Margiela" written in gold on some line 14 pieces, sad.

1013 6th ave, between 37th and 38th, on the west side of the street. It's like a regular newsstand but with various food inside. As mentioned earlier I can't vouch for it now because the more I'm reading the more it seems to have changed, but I'll give it another go anyway when I can.

When Bourdain started he had some poignant insights and met interesting people. Now he just gets drunk, eats hot dogs and repeats his own jaded slurs.

Okay - for the slow people (and there seem to be a few.) Please check out the new food thread here.

The Great Gatsby was pure eye candy. Baz Luhrmann did a great job so did Miuccia Prada for the costumes and Leo is just divine.

I want to get this cardi from Brooks Brothers/ Gatsby movie collab. It's the same cardi that Tobey Maguire's character Nick wore in the movie

I'd settle for one of the plain washed ones... which are still almost $1k.

The entire Gatsby/BB collab is very costume-y. Too loud for the average Brooks customer, too precious for everyone else.

You'd need a very specific wardrobe to make it work.
