^I'm not surprised. They were selling more expensive third party goods to make J Crew's look more appealing (at least financially, which is what most people surely consider above quality). Now that they've ingrained the idea among the minds of the populace, they'll produce pricier items to cash in on the mindset that J Crew=Good Quality.

Some of the carefully constructed finishing touches you'll find include interior contrast pickstitching and contrast suiting-fabric trim at the welts—they're not details you can see from the outside, but we think they make all the difference

i.e. We've added a detail that people can't see = nerd bonus points = quality.

Some nerd points matter - floating canvas etc. Interior pick stitching? come on.

Had the same thought a couple of days ago and the first thing I thought about was buying **** from EU retailers, the worlds economy is collapsing and all I(we?) can think about is copping jawnz.

When I bought espadrilles, they didn't have a right and left foot. Were just straight, could wear on either foot. They were poverty ones from spain though.

tres bien shop prices are very good (except for non european brands).

they have dollar prices though so theres no way to take advantage of the Xrates.
